You have chosen one of the most beautiful WordPress Theme created with love.

The main goal of the documentation is to provide guidance and walk-through to set up the theme for your website in an easy-to-follow manner, while also introducing you to some of the features of the theme. First, we'll make sure that everything is ready for the installation, then we'll set up the theme, and cover some initial configuration and customization options.

Getting Started

Let’s get started! First, make sure that you have all the necessary things required to install Business One Page.

Theme Requirements

Make sure you have the latest version of WordPress installed, by checking the updates tab from your current WordPress dashboard.

Theme Requirements

If you haven’t downloaded WordPress already, you can download it from the WordPress repository.

Although Business One Page will work with 4.5 and above versions of WordPress, it is recommended to have the latest version of WordPress.

After you have the latest version of WordPress, download Business One Page theme file, and save it somewhere handy on your computer, as you will be using it for the rest of the installation process.

 

Theme Files

Business One Page includes:

WordPress Theme Files— This is a compressed WordPress theme file containing all of the required templates, images and icons required for the theme to function properly.

Theme Installation

Theme Upload and Installation

There are two methods to install Business One Page theme.  You may either upload the zipped theme file using the WordPress theme installer (Recommended), or you can upload the unzipped theme folder via FTP (Advanced).

Method 1 ( Recommended): Install Using the WordPress Theme Installer

  1. Log into your WordPress site and opens the Administration Panel.
  2. Go to Appearance > Themes in the WordPress DashboardThemes
  3. Click on the Add New buttonAdd-New-Theme
  4. Click on the Upload Theme linkUpload-theme2
  5. Select the Business-one-page.zip file from your computer and click upload.
  6. Click Install NowInstall-Now

Method 2: Install Using File Transfer Protocol (FTP)

  1. Unzip “ Business-one-page.zip” file on your computer.
  2. Login using FTP client to access your host web server.
  3. Locate the wp-content folder in your WordPress install files.
  4. Upload the un-zipped Business One Page folder into the: wp-content/themes folder.

Theme Activation

  1. Log in to the WordPress Administration Panels.
  2. Go to Appearance > Themes in the WordPress menu
  3. Hover over the theme thumbnail and click the ActivateActivate Theme- BOP

Plugin Installation

Installing Plugin:

To install a plugin in your WordPress admin panel and follow the following steps.

      1. Navigate to Plugins > Add New.Install Pluglin
      2. Search for the name of the plugin you wish to install which will return a list of potential plugins.
      3. Click Details to read more about a plugin.
      4. Click “Install Now” if you wish to install the plugin.Plugin-Install-Web
      5. It may ask if you are sure, and you may proceed. The installation will commence once you confirm to proceed.
      6. After the plugin is downloaded. Go to Plugins>Installed Plugins. Click “Activate Plugin” to make it available for use.Plugin-Activate

Recommended Plugins:

We recommend you to download the following plugins when necessary:

    1. Jetpack by WordPress.com, by: Automattic
      The plugin provides a variety of complementary features for your Theme.
    2.  Regenerate Thumbnails by Alex Mills (Viper007Bond)
      If you have existing content, this will help you update your image thumbnails sizes.
    3. Contact Form Seven
      The allows you to display and manage contact form in your website.

Home Page Setup

To set up the homepage you must first create a new page.

To create a new Page

  1. Go to Pages > Add New.

  1. Enter the Page Title for the Page. You do not require to enter anything in the content section for creating a home page.
  2. Select the Homepage Template from the Page Attributes section.
  3. Click Publish.

Configuring the front Page display setting

  1. Go to Appearance>Customize > Default Settings> Static Front Page.
  2. Select A static page under Front Page displays
  3. Choose the page you just created as Front page.
  4. Click Save & Publish.

Site Identity

To set up Site Identity,

  1. Go to Appearance> Customize> Default Settings > Site Identity
  2. Click Select logo by clicking Select Logo.
  3. Upload and select the desired image.
  4. Enter the Site Title and Tagline
  5. Check Display Header Text for the Site title and Tagline to appear on your homepage.
  6. Click Select Image under Site Icon
  7. Upload and select the desired image. (The Site Icon/ favicon is used as a browser and app icon for your site. The recommended Site Icon size is 512*512 pixels.)
  8. Click Save & Publish.

Colors

  1. Go to Appearance> Customize> Default Settings >Colors
  2. Change the Background Color by clicking on the respective Select Color button
  3. Click Save & Publish.

  1. Go to Appearance> Customize> Default Settings >Background Image
  2. Click Select Image.
  3. Upload and Select a Background Image
  4. Click Save & Publish.

Setting Slider

Activate Slider

  1. Go to Appearance >Customize>Slider Settings.
  2. Check Enable Home Page Slider to show the featured slider the homepage.Slider Setting
  3. Select the posts which you want to display in the slider. (Featured images of the selected post will be displayed as slider images. )
  • Featured images of posts should be at least 1400 px in width and 600 px in the height for displaying slider images properly.
  • Use Regenerate Thumbnail Plugin to crop all the images if you have already uploaded the Images.
    1. Click Save & Publish

Configuring Slider

  1. Check Enable Slider to Auto Transition for the slides to transition automatically (auto-scroll) without a click.
  2. Check Enable Slider Loop to continue the slide transition in the loop
  3. Check Enable Slider Control to allow manual navigation for paging control of each slide?
  4. Check Enable Slider Caption to show the post title to appear on the slider post image
  5. Check Enable Slider Thumbnail to show the tiny thumbnail feature images of the slider Posts to appear at the bottom
  6. Select the slider animation type to “fade” or “slide”
  7. Enter the Readmore text to set the text of the button
  8. Enter Slider Speed: Set the Interval (in milliseconds) at which the slider should change posts (if automatic transition is enabled). Default: 7000 (7 seconds)
  9. Enter Animation Speed: Set the speed of animations, in milliseconds. Default: 600
  10. Click Save & Publish

About US Section

About SectionNote: In order to set up About Us Section, you need to make a page for it. The page should have a title and content which will be displayed as the section title and content respectively.

The section below the Slider section in the demo page is the About Section.

  1. Go to Appearance >Customize>Home Page Settings>About Section
  2. Check Enable About Section to display it on the Homepage.
  3. Enter the Menu title for the section. The title will appear on the Menu of the Page.
  4. Select a Page for About Section. The title and the content of the selected page will appear as a description of the section on the Page.
  5. Select the Post One, Post Two and Post Three. The title, feature image and the content of the selected post will appear on the section.
  6. Click Save & Publish.

Service Section

Service-Section-BOPNote: In order to set up Service Section, you need to make a page for it. The page should have a title and content which will be displayed as the section title and content respectively.

The section below the About Us section in the demo page is the Service Section.

  1. Go to Appearance >Customize>HomePage Settings>Service Section
  2. Check Enable Service Section to display it on the Homepage.
  3. Enter the Menu title for the section. The title will appear on the Menu of the Page
  4. Select a Page for Service Section. The title and the content of the selected page will appear as a description of the section on the Page.
  5. Select the Post One, Post Two, Post Three, Post Four, Post Five and Post Six. The title, feature image and the content of the selected post will appear on the section. Either select Three or six posts to maintain the design.
  6. Click Save & Publish

Promotional Block Section

Promotional BlockThe section below the Service section in the demo page is the Promotional Block Section. This section displays Title, Text and a Call-To-Action button that directs to certain page.

  1. Go to Appearance >Customize>HomePage Settings> Promotional Block Section
  2. Check Enable Promotional Block Section to display it on the Homepage.
  3. Enter Promotional Block Section Title, Promotional Block Section Content, Promotional Block Section Button and URL for Block Section Button.
  4. Click Save & Publish.

Portfolio Section

Portfolio-Section-(1)Note: In Order to set up Portfolio Section, you need to make a page for it. The page should have a title and content which will be displayed as the section title and content respectively.

The section below the Promotional block section in the demo page is the Portfolio Section.

  1. Go to Appearance >Customize>HomePage Settings>Portfolio Section
  2. Check Enable Portfolio Section to display it on the Homepage.
  3. Enter the Menu title for the section. The title will appear on the Menu of the Page
  4. Select a Page for Portfolio Section. The title and the content of the selected page will appear as a description of the section on the Page.
  5. Select the Post One, Post Two, Post Three, Post Four and Post Five. The title and feature image of the selected post will appear on the section.
  6. Click Save & Publish.

My Team Section

Team Section 2Note: In Order to set up Team Section, you need to make a page for it. The page should have a title and content which will be displayed as the section title and content respectively.

The Team section appears below the Portfolio section in the demo page.

  1. Go to Appearance >Customize>Home Page Settings>Team Section
  2. Check Enable Team Section to display it on the Homepage.
  3. Enter the Menu title for the section. The title will appear on the Menu of the Page.
  4. Select a Page for Team Section. The title and the content of the selected page will appear as a description of the section on the Page.
  5. Choose the Category of the posts you wish to display under the team section. The title for the posts of the selected category will appear as a name, Post excerpt will appear for the designation and post content will appear as team member’s description. Only the latest three team members can be displayed in the homepage.
  6. Click Save & Publish.

Client Section

Client-Section
The Client section appears below the Team Section on the demo page.

  1. Go to Appearance >Customize>HomePage Settings>Client Section
  2. Check Enable Client Section to display it on the Homepage.
  3. Enter the Menu title for the section. The title will appear on the Menu of the Page.
  4. Select a Page for Client Section. The title of the selected page will appear as a description of the section on the Page.
  5. Upload the Client Logos by clicking the Upload button. Select all your client logos you want to display  at once.
  6. Click Save & Publish.

Blog Section

In Order to set up Blog Section, you need to make a page for it. The page should have a title and content which will be displayed as the section title and content respectively.

The blog section appears right below the team section in the demo page.

  1. Go to Appearance >Customize>HomePage Settings>Client Section
  2. Check Enable blog Section to display it on the Homepage.
  3. Enter the Menu title for the section. The title will appear on the Menu of the Page.
  4. Enter the Blog Section title, Blog section Content and Blog Section View All Text
  5. Click Save & Publish.

Testimonial Section

Note:
In order to set up Testimonial Section, you need to make a page for it. The page should have a title and content which will be displayed as the section title and content respectively.

The Testimonial section appears right below the blog section in the demo page.

  • Go to Appearance >Customize>HomePage Settings> Testimonial Section
  • Check Enable Testimonial Section to display it on the Homepage.
  • Enter the Menu title for the section. The title will appear on the Menu of the Page.
  • Select a Page for Testimonial Section. The title and the content of the selected page will appear as a description of the section on the Page.
  • Choose the category of the posts that you wish to display under the testimonial section. The title and the content of the posts of the selected category will appear on the testimonial section.
  • Click Save & Publish.

Second Promotional Block Section

The section below the Testimonial section in the demo page is the second Promotional Block Section. This section displays Title, Text and a Call-To-Action button that directs to certain page.

  1. Go to Appearance >Customize>HomePage Settings> Promotional Block Section
  2. Check Enable Promotional Block Section to display it on the Homepage.
  3. Enter Promotional Block Section Title, Second Promotional Block Section Content, Promotional Block Section Button and URL for Block Section Button.
  4. Click Save & Publish.

Contact Section

Note:

In order to set up Contact Section, you need to make a page for it. The page should have a title and content which will be displayed as the section title and content respectively.

The contact section appears right below the second promotional block section in the demo page.

For the Contact form to appear as in the demo, you must first install and activate the Contact Form 7. To learn about how to install plugin read the Installing Plugin. For configuring the Plugin read the plugin documentation .

  1. Go to Appearance >Customize>HomePage Setting s> Contact Section
  2. Check Enable Contact Section.
  3. Select a Page for Contact Section. The title and the content of the selected page will appear as a description of the section on the Page.
  4. Enter the Contact Info Title, Contact Info Content, Contact Address, Contact phone, Contact Fax, and Contact Email.
  5. Enter Short Code for the contact form on the Contact Section Contact Form.
  6. Click Save &Publish.

Generating Shortcode for the Contact Form as in Demo :

For the Contact form to appear as in the demo, you must first install and activate the Contact Form Seven.  To learn about how to install plugin read the Installing Pluglin.

Go to Dashboard> Contact> Add New

Delete the default content and paste the following codes :

Copy the shortcode that appear below the Contact Form Name and paste it in the Contact Section Contact Form from Appearance>Customize>Homepage Settings>Contact Section.

Note: The above instructions just deals with the design and appearance of the contact form on the theme. You still need to configure your settings following Contact Form 7 Documentation    

Social Media Settings

Social Media Buttons are placed in the contact section. It can also be displayed as a widget .

  1. Go to Appearance >Customize> Social Settings
  2. Enter your social media details
  3. Click Save & Publish.

Widgets

The Business One Page offers three custom widgets: Rara Recent Post, Rara Popular Post and Rara Social Links along with the WordPress default widget options. You can add and remove widgets by following the steps below:

Adding a widget:

Option 1:

  1. Navigate to Appearance> Widgets
  2. There are four widget spaces, including Right sidebar and three footer.
  3. Drag the desired widget to the desired widget space. There is a description of each included widget that you can choose from.

Option 2:

  1. Go to Appearance> Customize>Widget
  2. Click the desired Widget Area (Right Sidebar, Footer One, Footer Two etc)
  3. Click Add a Widget. There is a description of each included widget that you can choose from.
  4. Click on the desired widget.
  5. Drag and reorder the widget as desired
  6. Click Save & Publish.

Remove Widget

  1. Go to Appearance> Customize>Widget
  2. Click the desired Widget Area ( Right Sidebar, Footer One, Footer Two etc)
  3. Click the widget you want to delete and click delete.
  4. Click Save Changes.

Menu / Navigation

Section Menu

Since Business One Page is used to create a one-page website, the header menu links can point to relevant sections on the same page. When clicked, they can take you to the relevant section on the page using a smooth scrolling effect. You can enter the Menu Title for various sections under various section settings of the Homepage settings.

For your section Menu to work make sure that you have’nt disabled Section Menu Options.

  1. Go to Appearance> customize> Section Menu Settings
  2. Uncheck Disable Section Menu.
  3. You can also choose to enable or disable Home Link and enter your own home link label
  4. Click Save and Publish .

To have a custom menu on your website make sure that you have disabled Section Menu Options.

  1. Go to Appearance> customize> Section Menu Settings
  2. Check Disable Section Menu
  3. Click Save and Publish.

Creating Custom menu

Option 1:

  1. Go to Appearance > Customize>Menus  in the WordPress Dashboard
  2. Click on Add new menu button.

  3. Give a name to your menu in Menu Name and click Create Menu button
  4. Choose the pages, categories, custom links from the left-side of your screen by selecting the checkbox and click on Add to Menu for desired Menu items.

  5. Order the menu items by using drag and drop function in Menu structure Panel.
  6. Choose Menu Location to Primary
  7. Click Save and Publish after adding required pages, categories in the menu.

Option 2:

  1. Go to Appearance > Menus  in the WordPress Dashboard.
  2. Click on Create a new menu link.menu3
  3. Give a name to your menu in Menu Name and click Create Menu button.menu4
  4. Choose the pages, categories, custom links from the left-side of your screen by selecting the checkbox and click on Add to Menu for desired Menu items.
  5. Order the menu items by using drag and drop function in Menu structure Panel.
  6. Check the box for “Primary Menu” under “Theme locations

Create a New Page

  1. Go to Pages > Add New.

  2. Enter the Page Title for the Page
  3. Write the required Text in the content section
  4. Select the Default Template from the Page Attributes section
  5. Click Publish.

Setting up a Blog

To create a blog page, You first need to  create a page for it. To create a page.

  1. Go to Pages> add New

  2. Enter the Page Title for the Page
  3. You do not require to enter anything in the content section for creating a home page.
  4. Select the Default Template from the Page Attributes section

Configuring the Page display setting

Go to Appearance>Customize > Default Settings> Static Front Page.

Choose the page you just created for the Blog as Posts Page.

Click Save & Publish.

Add a Post

  1. Go to Posts>Add new.

  2. Select the post format on the right sidebar.
  3. Give a title and fill it with content
  4. Upload a featured image by clicking on Set Feature Image on the right sidebar of the screen.

Adding Excerpt in the Post

  1. For adding excerpt to the existing post. Go to Post>All Posts from WordPress dashboard.
  2. Click Edit below the post name.

  5. A content box for excerpt will appear below the content section. Enter the required details.

Gallery Post Format

Post Formats

This theme has built-in functionality for the post formats including text, aside, image, video, quote, and link post formats. Select the Post format as desired.Post Format-Travel Diaries

Inserting Gallery

For Inserting Gallery in the post, you must first install the Jetpack Plugin. To learn how to install a plugin, read– Installing Plugins. You must have a WordPress Account to use JetPack. Use Your WordPress Account to activate Jetpack in your website.

  1. Navigate to Jetpack>Settings on the dashboard
  2. Activate the Carousel and Tiled Galleries option by clicking Activate link.Jetpack-gallery
  3. Navigate to the Post where you want to insert the gallery and come its Edit window
  4. Click Add Mediajet-pack-1
  5. Click Create Gallery
  6. Upload and select the desired images for the gallery and click create a new Gallery.jetpack3
  7. Choose the desired Size and Type of your gallery display.
  8. Use drag and drop to order the picture.
  9. Click Insert Gallery.

  10. Click Preview to preview the post and click Publish when you are satisfied.

We recommend you to use Regenerate thumbnails plugin to crop all the images if you have already uploaded the Images.

Helpful Tips

  1. We highly recommend to use Child Theme if you need to change the code of the theme. Do not change the codes in the files of the parent theme as all such changes will be lost when the theme is updated.   2. Always keep BackUp of your theme before making any changes to the theme.
  3. If you get any problem in using the theme, you can do the following things:
    • Deactivate the plugins, sometime plugin conflict may cause issues with the theme. Please deactivate the unused plugins.
    • Replace latest modified code with the original code.
    • If the issue still pertains, feel free to contact our support forum.
